I was recommened to look at Geoff Fenney’s work by my old boss. Fenney is a lifestyle and food photographer, some of his clients include large supermarket chains like Waitrose, Tesco and ASDA alongside publications like Jamie Magazine.
His work consists of a lot of flat lays, which use lots of colour. The way he gets around this is by using sections of one colour in the image and then using little bits throughout. Also your eye is always drawn to the main event of the image so you know exactly what you’re looking at. This is something I want to understand myself and seeing and understanding how he creates an image is inspiring.
